Privacy Policy
Job Evidence for iPhone · Effective 3 September 2026
In short
Job Evidence stores your jobs, photos and notes on your device. There is no account, no sign-in and no server holding your work.
We cannot see your photos, your notes or your clients' details. Your work leaves the device only when you choose to share a report.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Job Evidence mobile application, published by Moduly (“we”, “us”), an Australian business. It does not cover the moduly.ai website, or any other product.
We are bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. If you use the app from outside Australia, this policy still describes everything the app does with your information.
What the app stores on your device
Everything you create in the app is written to storage on your phone and stays there:
- Photos you take or import, and any note you attach to one
- Job details you enter — job title, and optionally a client name and site address
- Which proof checklist a job follows, and which items are satisfied
- Your business name, if you set one in Settings, so it can appear on reports
- Location coordinates attached to a photo, but only if you switch that setting on
None of this is transmitted to us. If your phone is backed up to iCloud or Google, the app's data may be included in that backup, which is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy terms rather than ours.
What we collect
Nothing. Job Evidence has no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising SDK. The app makes no network calls of its own, and we have no way to identify you, your device, or how you use the app.
We do not collect your photos, notes, job records or client details. We do not run advertising, we do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Permissions the app asks for
- Camera — required to photograph your work. Asked for the first time you open the camera. If you decline, the app still works; it offers to import from your photo library instead.
- Photo library — used only when you choose to import existing photos. The app reads the photos you select and nothing else.
- Location — off by default. The system prompt appears only at the moment you switch “Include location on new captures” on in Settings, never at launch and never during capture. Photos already saved are not changed. Turning it off stops any further location being recorded.
You can change or withdraw any of these at any time in your phone's own Settings app.
When information leaves your device
Only when you make it happen. Generating a proof report creates a PDF on the device. Nothing is sent anywhere until you tap Share and pick a destination — Messages, Mail, WhatsApp, Files, or anything else installed on your phone.
Once you share it, that PDF is in the hands of whichever app and recipient you chose, and how they handle it is outside our control. The report contains the photos, notes, job details and — if you enabled it — the location of the captures, so consider who you are sending it to.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your work stays on the device until you remove it. Deleting a photo or a job removes it permanently and cannot be undone — the app tells you exactly what will be removed before you confirm.
Deleting the app removes all of its data from the device. Because we hold nothing on a server, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and nothing for us to restore if you lose your phone.
Children
Job Evidence is a tool for working tradespeople and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Security
Your data is protected by the security of the device it sits on: your passcode, Face ID or fingerprint, and the operating system's own app sandboxing, which prevents other apps reading Job Evidence's files. Keep your device locked and its software up to date.
No system is perfectly secure, but the risk here is narrow — there is no account to breach and no central store of anyone's job photos to attack.
Third parties
The app has no advertising networks, no social media SDKs and no data brokers in it. Apple and Google receive the standard information involved in distributing an app — purchase and download records, and any diagnostics you have opted into sharing with them — under their own privacy policies, not ours.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to ask what personal information an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, and to complain about how it was handled.
In practice, we hold none of your job data — it is on your device, where you can view, correct and delete it directly at any time. If you have a question or a complaint about privacy, email support@moduly.ai and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
